They are hydrophilic and maintain accuracy for as long as their mechanical and dimensional properties remain intact, which begins to change as the impression loses water through evaporation.<\/p><p>Silicones have their accuracy determined by the ISO 4823 standard, which sets the maximum acceptable limit for dimensional variation at 1.5%.<\/p><p>Hydroprint is the alginate which, in tests carried out at UFRGS, has shown that its mechanical properties remain intact for longer.
